-¡Nunca renuncies a tus sueños y siempre sigue a tu corazón!

English

There is no doubt that D-Nox & Beckers is an emblematic project throughout the planet, their tracks have been supported by artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Tale Of Us, Dave Seaman, among others. Since the early days, they have always showed something different, there is something special on their productions and in their shows, which led them to go around the world.

Our country has always had a very special place for this great German duo, next February 2nd they will return to Aztec lands exclusively for Radiance Day Party after 5 long years of absence, we had the chance to interview them and these are their answers.

Hi Frank and Chris, thank you very much for your time!

How do you feel about returning to Mexico together?

-We are very happy and much looking forward to return since our last time together in Mexico is already some years ago.

In our country we have a special affection and we feel that it is reciprocal, tell us, what do you like most about our country?

-There are to many things we like about Mexico. We have a very long history, more than 20 years. Only because of that Mexico is already very special to us. Beside the culture, the beauty of the country, the food and the people.

You haven´t been here together since 5 years, do you have something prepared for Radiance Day Party?

-We will play a hybrid dj live set with contains the best of D-Nox & Beckers tracks. Music that we have written during our career since 2004. It will be a mix of classics and new tracks. I will dj the tracks and Beckers will play synthesizer at the same time. This creates a very special vibe and feeling.

What do you think of the Mexican culture? Are there any favorite places, food, etc. for you?

-The culture is very deep and old, much older than our german culture. Its is breathtaken what people were able to do so many years ago with building pyramides and their astro psysics. Reading stars, seasons and all that. Very very interesting. About food, we love it spicy, we love the soups, the tacos and all the kinds.

What is your opinion of Latin & Mexican electronic music?

-We like latin music from Cuba, and the latin grooves, the drums and percussions. But especially the mexian electronic scene finally seams to break thru with some kind of old school electro disco sound, Rebelldo and all these guys. Great to see that things are happening. Also with all the parties around Tulum and the sound of the jungle. Its looking very promising.

After being in the scene for so long, which would be your advice for new DJs & Producers?

-Never give up your dreams and always follow your heart!!!

Finally, tell us a little, which are your next projects? What´s next for D&B?

-We will have some collaboration with Stan Kolev, we will have an EP on Beat Boutique with remixes from Cid  Inc and others. Plus we both have other projects. For now we are looking forward to come to Mexico.
